I have a black dog, should I pick graphite?
You’d be surprised by how many colours make up black fur, so colour can really make the black more vibrant, but it truly depends what style you’re after :)

I’ve drawn a variety of different animals so far and I’m always open to drawing new animals that I haven’t drawn before! You can see the different animals that I’ve drawn in my gallery.

If your portrait arrives in a postal tube, you may find that the portrait is curled, don’t worry this is an easy fix! You can lay the portrait drawing-side down in the protective sleeve and place some heavy objects on it, after a day or so it will flatten out :)

I use high quality materials to ensure that your portrait will last a life time and beyond. I use 250gsm acid free paper which prevents it from yellowing over time. The coloured pencils that I use are Faber Castell Polychromos. These pencils have a high lightfast rating, which means that the colors won’t fade over time.
